This butted Chainmail blanket is made in aluminum wire with 8 mm ring diameter, perfectly suitable for a king size bed of 2 people, provide stable distributed weight while sleeping, we highly recommend that this product is not meant for small kids as the weight of the chainmail becomes uncomfortable. The approx. weight of this sheet is 42 lbs.

Since aluminum generate dark residue when not properly finished we highly recommend to opt for clean "Silver Anodized" finish for this blanket suitable for long term use and your bedsheet and other clothing will remain spotless. 

On the other hand the unpolished version will already have the dark residue by the time product is made and delivered and will require regular cleaning.
